Superfine Tylo gum powder from Simply Making
Extra fine grade of tylo for making flower paste or modelling paste, and for edible glue.
Also known as Tylose powder, or as cellulose gum it has been ground to a finer powder so is ideally suited for making flower & modelling paste.
Carboxy methyl cellulose, aka CMC, is a modified plant cellulose that’s mainly used as a gum in flower paste recipes but can also be used for pastillage work, giving a whiter finish compared to using gum tragacanth.
Everyone has their own technique but we suggest approximately 1 teaspoon Tylo to 250g of Sugarpaste to begin with. Knead well and add more Tylo as required.
